Welcome to the Auditor’s Office!

Appointed by the Governor of Missouri in 2017 and elected to the office in 2018 and 2022, I am humbled to serve as a Watchdog of your tax dollars.

This office, led by Amber Menjoulet and supported by Emily Holdman, Joan King and Dawn Wernecker, is responsible for preparing and overseeing the annual budget for the County Commission.

As the Budget Officer I work internally with all county offices and departments to monitor finances and payroll, ensure and verify compliance in accordance with state statutes and county policy, evaluate risk management, certify contracts and implement government mandates including federal and state grants.

Daily we process invoices for payment, check daily receipts and deposits, plus review monthly reports and keep a complete inventory list for all county offices and buildings.

The Auditor’s Office verifies that each department and office follows the annual budget which is verified by an external independent auditing agency.  You will be pleased to know there have been no Financial Statement Findings since 2019.

We also issue opinions to make sure your tax dollars are being spent prudently and wisely.

Please feel free to contact this office if you have questions or suggestions about improving your county.
